ESPNU tours Big Game Football Factory

ESPNU tours Big Game Football Factory from Big Game USA on Vimeo.

ESPNU Road Trip traveled to our football factory in Frisco, Texas with a film crew on Sept. 18, 2013 to give insight into the making of the official college footballs you see in action on Saturdays.

Road Trip’s Ali Nejad and Niki Noto met with Big┬áGame founder Chris Calandro, who took fans through the manufacturing of a football — from conception to completion. Even the official Road Trip football used by the hosts was created right here in our factory and received some new life while back in its original┬áhome.

The show encompasses the traditions surrounding┬ácollege football and gives viewers an up-close view of the nuances of America’s favorite game — and what’s more crucial to the game than the football itself?

Our factory produces more than 55,000 footballs per year in the largest U.S.-owned football factory on the planet. Each is handcrafted in Texas with top-grain premium leather for teams in the SEC, Big 12, Pac 12 and more. The durable, attractive hides are trusted by the best teams and players in the world, and you can follow where it all begins with our segment on ESPNU Road Trip.
